Shafiq partnered with Shaheen to help Lahore Qalandars set a huge target of 201
Abdullah Shafiq teamed up with Shaheen Shah Afridi to help Lahore Qalandars dominate Pakistan Super League (PSL) Multan Sultans at the end of the first innings of the tournament final.
The right-hander made a tackle and worked wisely with Shaheen to help Lahore post a total of 200-6.
Abdullah scored 65 off 40 balls with eight boundaries and two maximums.
Here's how fans rated Abdullah in one wise blow.
Lahore captain Shaheen produced an exceptional knock to help his team keep their hopes of defending the title alive. Shahin scored 44 goals in 15 games with Abdullah Shafiq. They scored 66 runs in 27 balls and helped Lahore set a tough target of 201 runs for Multan.
After a good start in which Lahore scored 34 runs in the first three overs, opener Tahir Baig was dismissed by Aisanullah for a sharp short ball. The right-hander scored 30 runs off 18 balls.
The wickets, along with good bowling, helped Multan reach 82-1 at the halfway mark.
Fakhar Zaman and Abdullah Shafiq added 57 runs off 38 balls in the second wicket, but just when they decided to increase their percentage, Multan destroyed the batsmen's plan with four quick wickets.
