On the order of the Prime Minister, the officials settled public complaints and solved the problem of gas charging in Karawang.

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday ensured uninterrupted gas supply to people during Iftar and Sehri. In the meeting chaired by the Prime Minister, detailed information was given on the problem of low pressure, disturbances and gas spills in Karawang. Under the order of the Prime Minister, the officials settled the grievances of the people of the city and solved the problem of gas loading in Karawang.

Prime Minister Shehbaz said in the Assembly that a comprehensive strategy should be adopted to ensure the convenience of gas to people during Ramadan. The authorities followed the Prime Minister's order by taking emergency measures to stop gas shipments.

The Prime Minister said that the gas supply process should be monitored and failure should not be allowed. Due to the widening gap between gas and demand, Sui South Gas Company (SSGC) announced on Thursday the decision to suspend the supply of funds to power plants and industry. The gas plant said the decision was taken due to low gas supplies. According to Geo News, the amount of gas in pipelines has decreased due to reduced supply.

SSGC said gas supply will be restored to captive power stations and branches from 8am today (Ana). Last week, many residents protested the suspension of gas supply. as complaints were registered by people who were consuming inflation.

Prime Minister Shehbaz said he had called a meeting to discuss the gas charge issue. Last week, SSGC said that gas would be supplied to domestic customers during the holy month of Ramadan, but for those limited hours it has upset consumers who have complained of shortages of the essential fuel during meals.

The utility said the gas pressure will be low between 8 am and 2:30 pm because it faces a shortfall of 250 million mmbtu. According to SSGC phone number, for Iftar, it will be available for customers in Karawang from 2:30 pm to 7:00 pm and for Sehar from 2:30 am to 5 am. The gas supply added that for the remaining hours, consumers will experience a complete shutdown or low pressure.
